---Single-walled Carbon Nanotubes obtained method

The uniqueness of our hydrogen arc discharge method:
¡¤ Hydrogen, rather than He or Ar was employed as     the buffer gas.
¡¤ A kind of sulfur-containing compound was added     as growth promoter.
¡¤ The anode is much larger and the upper surface
    of the anode and the cathode make an oblique     angle.
¡¤ The relative position of the electrodes is     controllable, which makes our synthesis
     semi-continuous.

Summary
¡¤ SWNTs can be synthesized in a large scale by the hydrogen arc discharge method.
¡¤ Large slices of films and web-like products with high purity were obtained, which may be attributed to
     the introduction of H2.
¡¤ HRTEM observations and the results of Raman scattering measurements indicate that the mean
     diameter of our SWNTs is larger than that synthesized by other methods, and the SWNTs with
     larger diameter may have advantages in gas storage capacities
