Advanced Carbon---Pyrolytic Graphite (PG series) |

Pyrolytic Coating Graphite |
|
|
PG series graphite materials are manufactured by decomposition of
a hydrocarbon gas at very high temperature in a vacuum furnace.
The result of this unique form of graphite is ultra-pure product
that is near theoretical density and extremely anisotropic. This
anisotropy results from the layered structure. For an example, Pyrolytic
Graphite exhibits a thermal conductivity consistent with the best
conductors in the ^along basal planes ̄ and lower than alumina brick
in the ^through basal planes ̄ direction. Pyrolytic Graphite materials
have high purity, stable at high temperature, impermeable, directional
electrical and thermal characteristics, self-Lubricating, nondusting
and low etch rate.
